This paper investigates the patterns of distribution of n-alkanes and isoprenanes in crude oil deposits of the Caspian (well number 73). The relative distribution of n-alkanes and isoprenanes in crude oil was examined by gas chromatography. In the Caspian oil fields, the well number 73 the maximum occurs at the peaks of n-nonane, n-undecane and n-pentadecane relative concentrations of which - 8.80, 8.15 and 8.10 %, respectively. The content of n-alkanes having at C -C varies within narrow limits (8.80-7.66). Coming up with a C to C , a regular decrease in the content of n-alkanes, the lowest value accounts for the relative content of C is 0.17 %. The relative concentrations of pristane and phytane 1.47 and 0.76 %, respectively. Ratio of pristane / phytane is 1.93, the Caspian oil fields, the well number 73 refers to oils lake genesis, as for oils of marine origin, the ratio is less than 1, and for oils continental genesis - more than 3.
