The sorption of heavy metals ions – mercury, cadmium and lead on the sorbent was studied. This sorbent is obtained by carbonization of rice husk, which is little known commodities. Sorption isotherms investigated static them from aqueous solutions, calculate the change in enthalpy (?H), isobaric-isothermal potential (?G) and entropy of sorption ((S). Sorption kinetics of mercury, lead and cadmium ions from aqueous solutions was calculated. Found that this process is dominated by spontaneous physical adsorption mechanism. Sorption kinetics study allowed establishing sorption equilibrium in time – 7–8 hours. The results can be used to purify water from toxic metals and ions of interest to specialists working in the field of environmental protection.
