In the article, features and specifics of the gastronomic (culinary) tourism in Russia and Astrakhan region are regarded. In addition, it explains about preconditions of the gastronomic tourism development, as well as there is detail description of the most known types in Russia and Astrakhan region. Committed examples of gastronomical objects with short characteristics. Also it focuses on issues of a diversity of the Astrakhan cuisine, which due to multi-national demographics of our region. In the article, we can read about national and cultural activitiesР± which attract Russian and foreign tourists. Taken into account the value of the gastronomic tourism of Astrakhan region at the present stage in general.
