The paper analyzes the floristic richness and systematic diversity of forest strips in the North-East Ergeny within Kalmykia. Systematic structure of forest strips flora was determined based on analysis of taxonomic groups role in the formation of the flora. After years of field research it was revealed that there are 276 species of vascular plants. The richest in number of species are the Asteraceae and Poaceae, including 34 species, representing 18.8 % of the flora. Leading families are also Fabaceae is 21 species (11.6 %) and Brassicaceae is 20 species (11.0 %). The predominance in the number of species of these families proves specificity of zonal flora and gives evidence of extreme arid conditions influence.
