The effect of completeness shoots and plant population dynamics different grades of alfalfa

The climatic features of the Astrakhan region provide great opportunities in crop production, especially for the food crops. Among the universal use of forage crops in the delta of Volga alfalfa has a special place. Now the cultivation of alfalfa for animal feed for resource-saving technology become more urgent. The crucial development and introduction of new varieties of fodder crops perform the certain tasks to increase and stabilize the food production and improving quality. For efficient agricultural production in arid climates of Volga delta it is necessary to increase productivity of food crops with the optimizing technology of the cultivation in irrigated areas. Thus, it is important to introduce high-yielding, drought-resistant varieties of alfalfa and to apply advanced technology of cultivation of fodder for hay, silage and haylage. The results of experimental studies of the influence of the completeness of seedlings and plant population dynamics of the different varieties of alfalfa are given in the article. The successful solution of the problem depends on the selection of high yielding varieties, seeding rates and wider implementation of the fodder contributing to reduce the influence of environmental factors and improve yield and quality of the produce. The results of complete germination and plant population of different varieties of alfalfa are presented in the article. It is established that the fullness of seedlings in the field over the years ranged from 38.4 to 49.2 %, and plant density in variety “Astrahanochka” excels the control at 17,1-35,0 %.
