Species composition and productivity phytocenoses, improvedby phytomelioration using Agropyron fragile

Phytomelioration is one of the reliable ways of preservation, enrichment and biodiversity conservation of natural arid ecosystems. The analysis of plot conditions, improved by Agropyron fragile is given in the paper. The test plots are located in the eastern zone of the Republic of Kalmykia on brown semidesert sandy soils. Species composition of plant communities in the improvement and buffer zones is similar, with the exception of Iris pumila, which is marked only in the buffer zone. Annual fires affect the species composition and productivity of plant communities.
