Vegetation growth and development takes place under the regular influence of the environment. A characteristic feature of the Astrakhan region's climate is insufficient precipitation, high temperatures in summer and low temperatures in winter. The thermal regime of the soils of the region has a complex of thermophysical properties that develop in its profile, and heat flows passing through the upper horizons of the soil with the influx of solar energy. The paper presents the results of twelve years of measurements of the temperature of the surface soil layer and air temperature of the Astrakhan region, which were processed using statistical analysis. The consistency of changes in the studied characteristics was assessed by means of correlation and statistical analyses.
