In the article the results of processing of vegetative plants of maize and soybean with phytohormones gibberellic acid (GA), cytokinin (CTK), and their combination on the transpiration intensity, water retention capacity of leaf tissues, photosynthetic apparatus structure, intensity of visible photosynthesis, accumulation of dry weight in plant organs. On all indicators, the effect of phytohormones was positive, but not unambiguously. The action depended on the plant species, their physiological characteristics, and the type of phytohormone. CTK consistently showed an effective effect on all the studied physiological processes. GA is less effective in these processes, even had a limiting effect on the content of chlorophyll, the intensity of visible photosynthesis and the accumulation of dry weight in the roots of maize and the roots and leaves of soybean, while decreasing the effectiveness of the CTK. The most effective of the combination of CTK withРџGA was found, at which a high positive synergistic effect
