THE BIOLOGICAL DIVERSITY OF THE FAMILY LAMIACEAE IN CONNECTION WITH THE STUDY OF CHROMOSOME set

The paper discusses the features of the habitat, taxonomic structure, biological diversity of plants of the family Lamiaceae in the flora of the South of the Astrakhan and Orenburg regions in connection with the problems of karyosystematics. The results of comparative cytogenetic studies of several representatives of Lamiaceae from the number of wild and introduced to the culture of plants, the results of comparative analysis of the basic chromosome number of representatives of the family Lamiaceae, the spatial arrangement of chromosomes in the nucleus with the features of environmental of adaptation of plants to specific conditions in the Astrakhan and Orenburg regions. Phenological observations conducted in populations of investigated species, a comparative analysis of the number of types of family Lamiaceae in the Astrakhan and Orenburg regions. The research noted the promising aromatic plants of the family: Lophanthus anisatus Benth., Lycopus europaeus L. and Lamium amplexicaule L. The results of the analysis of the karyotypes obtained cytogenetic techniques are important for addressing similarities and differences of chromosome sets of native species compared to species introduced in the introduction to the culture
