At the heart of the pathological changes arising in an organism of patients with a leprosy violation of immune function of an organism lies. First of all, it is shown by increase of production of cytokine, especially a tumor necrosis factor-α. At increase of concentration of this cytokine, activity of of Kuppfer’s cells in a liver that leads to repeated increase in pro-inflammatory cytokine increases. Cytokinoemia is followed by damage of structures of a liver and violation of microcirculation to all organism. Injury of a liver reduces its desintoxication function. Violations of microcirculation interfere with adequate regenerator processes.
