Currently, the growth of the production base, the use of increasingly complex technological systems, increasing the amount of consumed energy of humanity, brought about a rise of accidents and disasters. Danger man-made technosphere is associated primarily with the presence in the industry, energy and utilities sector a large number of hazardous industries and technologies. Annual losses from accidents and man-made disasters measured in thousands of lives and irreparable damage to the environment. Analysis of accidents manmade disasters leads to the conclusion that the main danger to human stem from the environment he created. The threat of accidents and man-made disasters in the modern world is increasing as by increasing the likelihood of their occurrence, and by increasing the extent of the potential damage. The territory of the Astrakhan region exposed a wide range of hazards arising in the operation of potentially dangerous objects, objects of housing and communal services and life-support systems of the population. The main sources of man-made disasters are accident on chemically hazardous objects, objects of housing and communal services, major traffic accidents. This article analyzes the main sources of man-made hazards present in the Astrakhan region, as well as their distribution is carried out by the administrative-territorial division.
