Genetic aspects of increase the egg production chickens

Review includes an analysis of genetic approaches to increase egg production chickens. The main objective of increasing egg production chickens genetic methods is their selection according to certain criteria. Breeders working with chicken egg cross close to the physiological limit their productivity, which affects the determination of the direction of selection. Modern breeding egg cross aimed at increasing adaptation properties, feed conversion, creation and improvement autosexing lines and crosses. Selection achievements in egg poultry Russia associated with the emergence and improvement of cross “Rhodonite”, “E 21”, “Hisex”, “UK Kuban”. An important issue is the preservation of the gene pool of egg cross chickens. Currently, genetic approaches have allowed significant progress in breeding hens, but must take into account the degree of realization of the genetic potential of laying hens on technological factors.
