We made researches about survival rate of larvae Chironomus thummi Kieff in alcohol and aqueous extracts and fractions of two species of the genus Tamarix. To conduct the study, the extracts were extracted from underground and aboveground plant parts. Alcoholic and aqueous extracts were fractionated by column chromatography on a downlink different gel fraction. As a test object we used larvae Chironomus thummi Kieff (laboratory culture), they are very convenient for work to determine the effect on them and extraction of substances differ enviable resistant to adverse environmental conditions. The study found that the essential oils of the genus Tamarix shown greater toxicity of the test samples extracts and fractions (the least time survival rate of test objects).
