Lophanthus anisatus Benth. an perennial grassy essential oil plants of family Lamiaceae. The purpose of work was the analysis of a karyotype, morphometric parameters of chromosomes, their identification, drawing up the ideogram of chromosomes. Studying of the karyotype was carried out in cages of an apically meristem of backs on metaphase plates, on temporary preparations with use of preprocessing by colchicines for shortening of chromosomes and identification of a centromeric zone. Coloring of backs carried out añetoñarminå by the original technique developed on the basis of the standard. The structure of the karyotype Lophanthus anisatus Benth introduced in the Astrakhan region was studied. Results of the morphometric analysis of chromosomes are presented. The set of chromosomes (2n=18) contains 7 couples (I, II, IV–VII, IX) submetacentric and 2 couples (III, VIII) metacentric chromosomes. This look belongs to group of types of the Lamiaceae family having in a diploidic set of 18 chromosomes. The average total absolute length of a set chromosomes is equal 41, 6±1,85 mcm (C.V. 14,2 %). Coefficients of a variation of chromosomal indicators correspond to average and high levels of variability. By means of computer system of VideoTest-Kario-3.0 chromosomes are identified; the formula of the karyotype and the ideogram of chromosomes was made.
