Females reproductive functions in the breeding of farm animals

The article analyzes the reproductive functions of females in the breeding of farm animals, indicating that the female reproductive ability is one of the most important factors influencing the effectiveness of herd reproduction. The assessment of this reproductive capacity is performed, the paper relates, by using a system of specificity indicators, which vary according to the type of farm animal. The system, the paper says, uses literay sources to analyze the reproductive ability of females belonging to different species of animals. In the analysis, the female reproductive capacity is correlated with both environmental and genetic factors. According to the critique, animal welfare, especially feeding, biologically active substances, plays an important ecological role in the reproductive ability. Genetic factors, for their part, are characterized by females belonging to a particular breed, line, family or hybrid group. In addition, female reproductive ability may be associated with genetic markers. In conclusion, the blueprint finds that one of the greatest problems affecting modern animal husbandry is enhancing the breeding females’ reproductive performance.
