The article analyzes the heavy metal (HM) content in vegetable and melon cultures growing in the Astrakhanian region. It adds that the HM determination was carried out via voltampermetry. The critique notes that eight species of vegetable and two types of melon products were examined. In toto, 1375 samples were investigated in the assessment. The study, which focused on analyzing the HM content in samples of vegetable and melon products, found that this figure varied widely in different parts of the region. It also observed that different kinds of vegetables accumulated different amounts of HM. The work led to a ranking of HM in the region’s vegetable and melon products. According to the blueprint, the research did not find that the HM content of the vegetable and melon culture test samples exceeded the LAC (limited allowable concentration).
