The study explored the fecundity of linebreeding Don breed stallions in the Astrakhan population, based on linear accessory for the 1991–2011 timespan. It found domination by the Berezen 16, Bakhmach 207, Dobrohod 91, Zates 229 lines and their successors. There were 175 tribal offspring (35,71 % of the total number) among the Berezen 16s and their successors. Bakhmach 207 and its line followers gave 139 offspring (28.37 %). Dobrohod 91 begat along with its successors 68 tribal offspring (13.88 %), while Zates 229 and its followers had 61 tribal offspring (12.45 %). Some stallions had few offspring and ended their lines’ reproductive activities because they had no successor. Meanwhile, Zador 142 had 16 (3.27 %) tribal offspring, Difusor 83 had 13 (2.65 %), Dobytchik 77 had 3 (0.61 %) and Zamorozok 225 also had 3 (0.61 %). A promising new line of Grom 221 appeared in 2006. This stallion begat 12 (2.45 %) tribal offspring. The results of the research paper could be used for linebreeding the Donskaya breed of horses in the Astrakhan population.
