The changes in heart rate variability (HRV) were studied in males and females of nonlinear rats at dopamine injection (30 mСЃg / kg of b.w./ intraperitoneally) at stimulation of the central dopaminergic system - CDPS (L-dopa and amantadine at 20 mg / kg of b.w./ intraperitoneally)y. Single injection of dopamine induces a decrease in HRV without reconstruction its structure. The effects of dopamine on HRV were the most significant in female rats. Activation of CDPS was accompanied by an increase in heart rate frequency (by almost 15 %) and an increase in the LF- and VLF-wave power, an increase in the part of LF-waves, and a decrease in the part of HF-waves in the HRV spectrum, especially in males. The results suggest a role of dopaminergic mechanisms of the peripheral level in modulation of the general variability of cardiointervals, central dopaminergic mediation - mainly in the formation of LF-components of the HRV spectrum.
